Bio
Blame The Bishop has its roots back to Open Mic days in the late 90's at legendary Sacramento venues such as The Capitol Garage and The True Love Coffeehouse. BTB made their reputation as a songwriting band performing around the greater Valley region; but starting around 2019, the band began to shift the focus to playing venues that allowed them to stretch out beyond the confines of a 45 minute set. Armed with an extensive catalog of original material, Blame The Bishop began incorporating covers of songs that people know by bands everybody knows but with a twist: playing the songs that were huge but not in every other band's playlist. Some of the artists covered include Tom Petty, The Beatles, Midnight Oil, Matthew Sweet, and Grand Funk Railroad(!). What songs? You'll have to see us to find out.
